The idea to form New Narrative Memorials came
three weeks after my Uncle died.
As an experienced event planner, I stepped up to plan the event of a lifetime to commemmorate the life of one of the most incredible people I’ve ever known.
We had ten days to plan and a guest list of over two-hundred people. I listened to my family’s vision, created the day’s timeline, and managed family and friends who wanted to pitch in and help however they could.
It turned out to be the perfect day to remember him by.
We played his favourite music on a sunny September day, listened to stories from the people in his close community, created a scrapbook station in lieu of a guest book, and used lots of lush greenery to reflect his love of the outdoors.
After the event, I wondered what could be done for families who also wanted a unique memorial experience and the expertise of a planner who knew almost exactly what they were going through.
With the right planning and support, I strongly believe your family can have an event to remember for years to come. Grief looks different on everyone and I want to be the person to support you in your unique process.
Whether we handle every detail for you or guide you through what tasks need to be done for the event, I would be honoured to be a small part of one of the most important days your life.
